No person can grow without learning, for learning is like the lantern that carries the lamp of consciousness that kills the darkness of backwardness that creeps day after day to drown us all in a night that has no day.
Muhammad is 14 years old. He was regularly going to school, when one day ISIS broke in and forced him to flee from Syria, his country. He then came to Lebanon and started working at a very young age. While working, he met many different people, and some of them taught him dangerous things such as smoking. At a certain point, however, he was introduced to the game of cricket and through it he found out about Alsama Center and its cricket classes. At Alsama, Muhammad learned many new things, and through awareness classes Muhammad started moving away from his past and understand who he was as a person.
Now Muhammad is receiving an education, and he is a successful cricket player. Had it not been for education and awareness, Muhammad would have been in a completely different place in his life. Muhammad said “After I got to know Alsama center, my personality changed and I became a person who dreams and has great ambition, and with my skill and determination today I am an assistant cricket coach”.
(Learning is the most powerful weapon that can be used to change the world.)
